West Ham Transfer News: Ravel Morrison Asks To Join Fulham After £5 Million Offer

West Ham's promising England U21 midfielder Ravel Morrison has told West Ham United he wants to join Fulham in January. Goal.com reports that the highly-rated 20-year-old has been the subject of a £5 million bid plus add-ons from the Cottagers, and Morrison is believed to be keen on a move, which would see an increase on his £15,000 a week salary, and a chance to re-unite with Rene Meulensteen, who worked with him in the youth set-up at Manchester United. Morrison's contract has an £18 million release clause, but West Ham will have to quadruple his salary to £60,000 if he is the subject of a £10 million bid, and they are believed to want to cash in on the youngster to fund new signings as they chase Premier League survival. The Hammers currently lie in 19th place in the league table with only 15 points from 20 games, and have already brought Roger Johnson in from Wolves as they attempt to strengthen their side. Morrison has set Upton Park alight this season with a plethora of fantastic performances, and he is even rumoured to be the subject of David Moyes' attentions as he looks to bolster his United squad before the end of the transfer window.
