West Ham Transfers: 5 Deadline Day Strikers Hammers Could Sign

5. Jelle Vossen

We start with Jelle Vossen, the Belgian striker currently playing for Genk. A cursory glance of social media in regards to West Ham is throwing up Vossen's name again and again. All the latest speculation seems to be that this will be the player who Big Sam looks at now that Mitroglu has gone. If Sam is to bring Vossen in, he will have to pay a significant amount of money. Cardiff had looked at Vossen with a bid of £9 million earlier this month, and West Ham will also have to ward off interest from Aston Villa who want to add more goals to their tally of 26 this season. The West Ham fans want Vossen if Twitter is to be believed, and with 100 goals in 240 games for Genk, the Belgian hitman could make a great signing. Sky Sports News Presenter Jim White has tweeted the following:
"With West Ham missing out on Kostas Mitroglou, reports suggesting they could turn their attention to Genk striker Jelle Vossen #WHU."
This one could be getting thrashed out this very second.
