West Ham Transfers: 5 Deadline Day Strikers Hammers Could Sign

1. Islam Slimani (Sporting Lisbon)

The Mirror reports that West Ham could go in for Sporting Lisbon goalscorer Islam Slimani. Having fell out of favour with the Lisbon side, the 25 year old Algerian international could represent good value for Big Sam. He may have only hit 3 goals in 12 games this season, but at international level Slimani boasts 9 goals in 17 caps for Algeria. Perhaps with a good manager like Allardyce and a talented West Ham team around him he could start banging the goals in for the East London club. One thing for sure, the Hammers really need to get a goal scorer in. Allowing Mitroglu to slip through their fingers could end up a costly mistake if they fail to bring anyone else in. With Sunderland, Cardiff and Fulham all strengthening their sides, the relegation zone looks to be leaving West Ham as the weak link right now. The best thing for West Ham to do is match their rivals spending, bringing in a goal scorer who can fire them up out of bottom three misery. Which strikers do you think West Ham should go after?
