West Ham United: 10 Managers Who Could Replace Sam Allardyce
2. Carlo Ancelotti
Why He Should: Reports suggest that the Hammers are preparing an audacious approach for sacked Real Madrid manager. Ancelotti had been facing a lot of doubts over his future in Spain and Madrid pulled the trigger on May 25th. He'd certainly be the marquee name the West Ham owners would want to lead them to their new stadium.
He's got Premier League experience, having managed Chelsea for two seasons. guiding them to a domestic double, adding to an array of other honours with some of the biggest clubs in Europe. He's one of a select few to win the Champions' League three times so he could guide West Ham to the next level.
Why He Shouldn't: It's not certain whether Ancelotti would want to go to West Ham - he usually manages Europe's elite, and West Ham aren't anywhere near that level yet. He's also suggested he wants to take a sabbatical after his time with Real and the East London Club will want a manager sooner than that.
He might not be the right choice for the long-term. He only stayed for two years at Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, and even though that involved being sacked from the blues, it's a worrying record. He'd also be expensive. The £6.5 million a season he earned at Chelsea may be out of the Hammers' price range.
