West Ham vs Chelsea: Player Ratings

Chelsea

Petr Cech: Had absolutely nothing to do. Pipe and slippers stuff for Blues keeper. 5/10.

Branislav Ivanovic: Familiar raids up from right back here. 6/10 Gary Cahill: Second half header cleared off the line and kept Maiga very quiet when he came on. 6/10. John Terry: Key deflection on Demel ball into the box at 2-0. Chelsea captain must wish he could play a team without a proper striker every week. 6/10. Cesar Azpilicueta: Covered for Cole ably again. Outshone O'Brien in the battle of the wrong-footed fullbacks. 6/10. John Obi Mikel: Holding midfielder has a World Cup to look forward to next year, but despite being in a winning XI here he may find himself back on the bench. 6/10. Frank Lampard: Our man of the match. Converted from the spot against former club and swept in a second late on to seal victory. A reminder to Hammers fans what they could have had, but sold 12 years ago. 7.5/10. Ramires: Less constricted in this more attacking role, but still played narrow for long spells. The jury is out on whether Ramires will break into Brazil's World Cup starting XI, but we expect him to be back in the Blues engine room for tougher tests. 6/10.
