Who Is In The North East's Worst Team Of The Season?

9. Will Buckley

Even the Brighton fans seemed mystified when Sunderland stumped up £2.5 million to snap up Will Buckley. The winger was injury-prone and not shining as brightly as he had done previously when the Black Cats came knocking, but he made the switch to Wearside after long spells of being linked with a Poyet reunion. Unfortunately he just looks lost on the pitch, weak in the air, weak on the ground, and seemingly lacks a real sense of direction or purpose when it comes to attacking. His shining moment for which Mackems everywhere will be grateful for was his instrumental role in Adam Johnson's late winner at St. James' Park, but other than that, he's cut an anonymous figure in red and white during a time he was needed most.
