World Cup 2018: 7 Players Premier League Clubs Should Buy

6. Viktor Claesson (sweden)

Sweden topping Group F is perhaps one of the bigger surprises of this World Cup so far, and Viktor Claesson quietly played a key role in all three of his nation's group games. He earned the penalty that won them their opening clash with South Korea, assisted Ola Toivonen for that memorable opening goal against Germany, and had a bad shot that fell kindly for Ludwig Augustinsson to open the scoring against Mexico in Sweden's final group game.

The 26-year-old currently plays his club football with Krasnador in Russia and scored 10 league goals last season. Able to operate in both central and wide roles, Claesson has been used on the right wing for Sweden during this tournament but has often been seen drifting inwards and getting into good spaces in and around the penalty area. He's a highly versatile player and the sort of midfielder that many coaches love to have in their squads.

The Swede has been linked with Newcastle and Swansea in the past, and could do a decent job at a mid-to-lower table side in the Premier League. His solid performances in the World Cup so far could boost his price a little, but he still shouldn't cost much more than £8-10 million.
