World Cup 2018: 7 Players Premier League Clubs Should Buy

5. Denis Cheryshev (Russia)

Having spent much of his early career with Real Madrid, Russia's Denis Cheryshev failed to make a breakthrough with the Spanish giants and was loaned out a few times before finding a permanent new home with Villarreal.

He'd never scored for Russia before coming to the World Cup, but opened his account in style on the very first day with two super strikes against Saudi Arabia. Cheryshev followed that up with a goal against Egypt to help the host nation qualify and scored a cool penalty in the climactic shootout with Spain to help Russia into the quarter finals.

Despite being 27, he hasn't made a whole lot of appearances in top-tier football but seems to really be hitting his peak years and has even been linked with a return to Real Madrid. The winger has turned a lot of heads with his performances so far and could do well in England, packing strength, a good work rate, and some impressive long distance shooting abilities in his arsenal. He hasn't been too highly valued at Villarreal and could be allowed to leave for a modest sum of under £10 million.
