Moon Knight is an ex-mercenary with dissociative identity disorder who believes himself to be an avatar of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu appointed to act out vengeance on humanity. Although he normally has no superpowers, from his days as a mercenary he has become an expert in combat and martial arts and has amassed great wealth which he uses to purchase weapons and equipment for his purposes. Moon Knight is a very dark, complex character, with deep seeded psychological issues. Due to his nature, he would not fit in very well as one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Avengers, even though he has been part of the Avengers in the comics. There was an attempt at putting together a Moon Knight TV series in 2006 but it never came to fruition. There was mention of Marc Spector (Moon Knights original personality) in the Blade TV series, but he did not appear in the show. The S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series could finally provide an opportunity to properly explore the violent, psychological and cultish aspects of Moon Knight.
An ordinary guy who is loving seeing his favourite superheroes being brought to life on the big and small screens, and is hopeful that the best is yet to come.
