10 Female Actors Who Would Have Been A Better Doctor Who

It takes a big name for a big job, and the name Tilda Swinton doesn't get much bigger when we're talking British actors. Swinton's contribution to the MCU in both Doctor Strange and Avengers:Endgame made her a household name, but it was her performance in films such as We need to talk about Kevin where her incredible acting range was on full display.

Swinton would have been perfect for the darker notes of The Doctor, as well as the action based and emotional driven scenes. Swinton also seems talented enough to bring a sense of comic timing to the Doctor and it would thankfully be far more subtle than that given to us by the current iteration.

The unanswerable question in regards is if she would have been willing to give up so many film roles so she could play the lady from Gallifrey, Swinton chalking up a staggering five acting gigs in 2019 alone. There is of course every chance she was offered the role and declined, and if this is the case it's a terrible shame as she would have been perfect.
