Star Trek Starfleet Academy Rubincon Fleet Arrives
CBS Media Ventures

In the 32nd Century, like the 23rd before it, Starfleet was able to design and deploy quite a number of starship classes. While that was somewhat lucky, given the events that led to the Burn, and those events that followed, Starfleet has never been one to lack ingenuity.

When the Venari Ral took possession of the USS Athena in Starfleet Academy's first season finale, Rubincon, things looked grim for the starship-sized classroom. Nus Braka had mined the borders to the Federation; no one was coming to help, and even the USS Discovery couldn't jump across the barrier. In a very Star Trek turn of events, Caleb Mir managed to distract Braka long enough for those mines to be disarmed.

Enter Starfleet.

Dozens of ships warped in to surround both the Venari Ral and the Atrium of the Athena. While several of these vessels had been seen in action before, it was quite a thing to see them all together, turning up to support their sister ship. Admiral Vance commanded the fleet, bringing both a calm and smile to the situation, knowing full well that Braka was going down for a long, long time for this one.

After all, the Klingerite had threatened the lives of billions of people. If that didn't merit the interavention of Starfleet en masse, then what did?
