10 Reasons You're Not Fit To Call Yourself A Doctor Who Fan

5. You€™re All About That Ship

Doctor Who, for you, ends whenever your ship sinks. You probably stopped watching when the Doctor dropped Sarah Jane at the wrong location, or when Rose got stuck in that parallel universe, then continued watching when she tried to get back to the Doctor in Series 4 after which you proceeded to jump ship with the Doctor and River. Basically, you are only there for the romance. You don€™t know what else happens in the episode because you€™re too busy crying about the lack of happy endings. It€™s pretty admirable because you€™re usually first in line to read all the major fanfics through various internet archives, and you definitely do wish half of the stuff that happened in the fanfics turned out to be canon (though, Madame Vastra and Jenny do get it on!). That's just not the spirit of the show, though. His companions can spend the rest of their life with the Doctor but he can€™t sit idly by and spend the rest of his life with them (though he definitely, truly loved Rose). The show doesn't end just because the ship does. It's just the way things are. Here€™s the bottom line: Doctor Who is not a soap opera. Stop turning it into one!
