10 Things We Already Know About The X-Files Revival

7. James Wong, Glen Morgan, And Darin Morgan Are Confirmed To Be Back

While Vince Gilligan's status appears to be up in the air, many other notable writers from the original run of The X-Files are returning. Glen Morgan, who along with frequent writing partner James Wong (Space: Above And Beyond, Final Destination) were a huge part of the first few seasons of the show, is taking a producer position on the revival, according to an exclusive interview series creator Chris Carter held with xfilesnews.com. Wong is back as well, presumably as a writer, as is Glen Morgan's brother Darin, who was also a writer during the show's first run. Darin Morgan memorably penned Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, which won him an Emmy (guest star Peter Boyle won as well, for his performance as the episode's titular character). The younger Morgan also appeared on camera a couple of times; he starred as Eddie Van Blundht in the fifth season episode Small Potatoes in a memorable role. Even more memorable, though you wouldn't have recognised him, was his role in the show's second season: he was the poor soul in the Flukeman suit, sweating in the rubber outfit for up to twenty hours a day.
