8. Hank Knows Walt Is Heisenberg (Breaking Bad)

Once Hank realised that the inscription in Gale's copy of Leaves of Grass was addressed to Walter White, it was only a matter of time before he comes face to face with Walt with the newfound information that his brother-in-law is the man he has chased for months. Breaking Bad ratchets up the pacing and allows Hank to pay Walt a visit within the episode, in which he fully realises just who he's up against. The tension is palpable in the conversation as pleasantries are exchanged, but then Walt shows Hank the tracking device he found on his car and Hank, after silently shutting the garage door, punches Walt in the face. Yet still it's Walt who has the upper hand, menacingly warning Hank to "tread lightly". The entire scene is brilliantly acted and seriously intense.
