10. A Losing Hand - The Walking Dead
One of the most infamous moments of The Walking Dead comic was Rick having his hand chopped off by The Governor, a decision creator Robert Kirkman later regretted since it limited what the character could do from that point on.
That ‘s why Rick has got to keep his hand on the show for now. The first episode of season seven almost saw Carl losing his hand instead, with Negan forcing Rick to make the chop, before deciding to have mercy at the last second. The fact this element was introduced at all means it will probably occur this year, with Kirkman himself stating in an interview it could still happen to someone else.
It’s just a question of who and when really; maybe Negan will inflict this on someone as punishment, or maybe Rick will take the ultimate revenge on his tormentor and do it to him. We’ll have to wait and see, but don’t be surprised when it happens.
