The quaint little town of Stars Hollow was inspired by a real place called Washington Depot, located in Connecticut. Amy Sherman-Palladino visited with her husband and loved the atmosphere of the village so much that she wanted to use the vibe and small-town values for the setting of Gilmore Girls.

That very same place has increased in tourism ever since. And when the news of the revival was announced, two superfans teamed up with sponsors and local businesses to create a whole weekend dedicated to Stars Hollow. There was a town hall meeting, dance recitals, a knit-a-thon and screenings of favourite episodes.
