American Horror Story: 10 Most Horrific Moments
1. Nipple Lamps In The Playroom
Season: Asylum
Episode: 5 - "I Am Anne Frank (Part 2)"
Rating: 5/5 Bloody Faces
A decidedly unique take on home furnishings, the Asylum nipple lamp, and Bloody Face's lair, will go down in history as the show at its most horrific. There was always something unnerving about Zachary Quinto's Dr. Oliver Thredson, and his apparent saving of Lana Winters in Episode 5 was never going to last long. The highly-intelligent Thredson was revealed as the real Bloody Face killer, and had orchestrated all the events of Asylum so far. Framing Kit Walker, whilst also getting himself stationed at Briarcliff Manor.
Abandoned by 'the system' in an orphanage, Thredson began looking for corpses to provide the maternal presence he never got as a child. Any inadequate bodies were skinned and added to his collection of 'unique' furniture, or worse still, his Bloody Face mask. Sadly, Lana's horror was only just beginning - she was forced to molest the corpse of her long-dead lover Wendy, as well tormented by Thredson wearing parts of Wendy's face - Texas Chainsaw Massacre-style. An eventual escape, as well as blowing Thredson's brains out (eventually) were no consolidation for her time in the Bloody Face lair, as well as harbouring his child...Bloody Face No.2/Johnny Morgan.
