American Horror Story: The Best Character Of Each Season So Far

Not disrespect to Twisty the Clown, Freak Show's most iconic, terrifying and sorely underused character, but Dandy Mott is the season's most compelling creation.

Played by series newcomer Finn Wittrock, Dandy is spoilt and ego-driven, the son of an emotionally absent mother and a childish psychopath who tortures small animals and forms a strange relationship with Twisty. He starts off as nothing more than a brat, but later becomes a killer driven by revenge and rage.

Throughout the season, Dandy hopes to become a member of Elsa Mars' Cabinet of Curiosities, but is rejected and thrown into a pit of jealous anger, increasing his murderous impulses and causing him to enact a plan of brutal vengeance.

Thanks to Wittrock's star-making performance, Dandy never comes off as over-the-top despite his child-like tantrums, and aside from being incredibly entertaining and darkly amusing, he also ends up being the season's most disturbing and complex character.
