Arrow Season 4: 8 Things You Need To Know About Green Arrow
2. A Quiver Of Tricks
The show includes a lot of subtle nods and sly winks to the comic-books, but perhaps the best Easter egg so far came last season, when we got a take on the boxing-glove arrow. In the show, this was simply by luck, with the boxing glove just so happening to end up on the end of one of the arrows he was firing, and used to knock the guy down. However, in the comics it is a legitimate weapon he uses, and it's far from the only trick arrow. There are taser arrows, boomerang arrows, gas arrows, handcuff arrows, and a whole host of completely ridiculous arrows that he used to take down his opponents in a non-lethal fashion (yes, there's even a cat arrow, because of course there is). While some of these might be going a bit too far, a number of them would make sense in the show as Oliver and Felicity would be perfectly capable of coming up with a number of these arrows in order to give him a wider variety of weapons at his disposal. At the very least, the boxing-glove arrow is a must.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
