BoJack Horseman Season Six: 10 Best Moments
4. Ruthie
The second episode of the new season, The New Client, deals with Princess Carolyn's new baby, currently just named Untitled Princess Carolyn Project. As a working mother, PC struggles with the responsibilities weighing down on her.
BoJack has a habit of doing big animation set pieces, and The New Client is definitely the pride of season six here. Following the tradition of Fish Out Of Water, Time’s Arrow and The Showstopper, The New Client turns its animation on Princess Carolyn.
Duplicate versions of PC appear throughout the episode, showing how repetitive her new routines are, as well as just how busy she really is. Always a great supporting character, here PC proves she’s a fantastic lead too.
The whole episode gives us a real insight into how PC’s life is; and by extension the life of many work mothers. The best part though is when PC finally decides on her name. Not only does taking so long finally fill the minor plot hole of Diane being named after a character in Cheers despite being too old, the eventual name fits like a glove.
Following PC imagining her distant relative Ruthie in Season Five, the name seems perfect for Untitled Princess Carolyn Project.
