Doctor Who: 10 Questions We Have About 'The Day Of The Doctor'

4. Will The Date Of The Episode Be Important?

It's 'The Day of the Doctor'. "This is his most important day. His most important moment," as Moffat so tantalisingly teased. But is the date important? It's Clara's birthday, it's the show's birthday, and Jenna-Louise Coleman's mentioned that this is more than just a coincidence. I've mentioned before that Clara's a metaphor for everyone that's ever saved the Doctor, but is November 23rd more significant than that? Amy's wedding day was the day that the TARDIS exploded, and the Doctor's death-date was a fixed point: but what about Clara's birthday? We're still in the Doctor's time-stream too, remember. It's probably only a footnote in the whole story, and it's something that no one's really thought of, but maybe it's because 'The Day of the Doctor' also refers to the worldwide celebration of the man.
