The Chase was a First Doctor adventure from 1965 in which the Daleks first displayed time travel abilities in order to pursue the Doctor and his companions across time. They used to TARDIS to flee and a chase across time ensued. The Daleks ended up capturing the Doctor and his pals and commandeering the TARDIS. The Doctor and pals escaped and attempted to regain the TARDIS, but it was being guarded by a Dalek guard. In order to get back to it, they covered a hole with Barbara Wright's cardigan and tempted the guard out by shouting then hiding. It then went over the cardigan, not realising that it was indeed covering a hole, and fell in. So there you have it - the ten craziest methods used to beat a Dalek in Doctor Who.
