Doctor Who: 10 Times Captain Jack Died And Lived To Tell The Tale

6. A Trip Through Time

Back to Doctor Who now and Jack didn't take long to add a penny to his death jar upon his return to the franchise's parent show. In fact, he was pretty much dead before the opening titles had even rolled which has to be a new record. The Doctor finally returned to Cardiff in Series 3's Utopia and after refuelling the TARDIS on the time rift he and Martha Jones were thrown to the end of the universe as the police box attempted to shake off Jack who was clinging on outside as it hurtled through the time vortex. Jack had been waiting a very long time for this moment so you can forgive him for his desperate leap of faith. As it turns out, the TARDIS sensed Jack was a fixed point in time and tried its best to get rid of him but it wasn't all bad news for the Captain because he finally got all the answers he'd been waiting centuries for. Well, most of them, anyway. He died once again in this episode (of course) when he was electrocuted but at this point he probably doesn't even feel pain anymore. The screaming is just for dramatic effect.
