8. The Saturnyne
The romantic trip to 1580's Venice laid on by the Eleventh Doctor for Amy and Rory quickly turns sour when a school full of female "vampires" is discovered. After a successful infiltration into the school, Amy manages to damage Rosanna's perception filter in a night time struggle, during which Amy has some of her blood drained due to Rosanna biting her. She is temporarily stunned as Saturnyne blood is dripped into her, but eventually manages to escape. Thus follows a relatively decent plot, but sadly the villains have crossed the line from ridiculous into the realms of stupidity. Giant fish lumbering about on land pretending to be attractive humans whilst turning young girls into vampires that aren't vampires? Please give me a break! Not one of my favourite episodes and easily containing one of the most annoying, pointless monsters in Whovian history.
