6. The TARDIS
Yep. Because if you're not River Song, you're probably the TARDIS (or Clara Oswald, but we'll get to her!). It's no surprise, then, that fans wrote Maisie's character off as a living embodiment of the Doctor's beloved police box as soon as her casting was announced. The evidence? Well, they released a picture of her standing in the console room (d'uh!), which is apparently all the proof some theorists need, and surely the TARDIS is the only character who could ever give the Doctor "the right sort of hell"? But wait a minute. Fans already know that the Doctor would be challenged if he ever met a physical version of the TARDIS... because it's already happened. Remember Idris back in Series 6? So they've already been there, done that and bought the transcendental t-shirt, unfortunately, which means that they probably won't be revisiting a similar concept (as brilliant as it was) any time soon. Because if there's one thing Doctor Who doesn't do, it's bring back old characters. Right? Right!?
