Doctor Who: Ranking Every Spin-Off From Worst To Best

7. Class

Doctor Who Scream Of The Shalka
BBC

Poor Class. Despite being the first Who spin-off on TV in five years and coming from the mind of popular YA novelist/screenwriter Patrick Ness, its debut - only? - season just didn't land with the British viewing public. We'll have to see how US fans respond to it when it airs on BBC America in April.

Even the show's ardent supporters would have to say that its eight episodes so far have been mixed, though. As an edgier look at the Whoniverse while based around teenagers, its premise was a mash-up both Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood. Still, there was a lot of promise in the show and Katherine Kelly's sharp-tongued Miss Quill was a delight. Plus, the Doctor himself showed up for the pilot.

With a fan-favourite Doctor Who monster promised to have a prominent role in season two, let's hope that Class gets the chance to win its critics over.
