6. Why Did The Silence Kidnap River Song?

The whole of series 6 was about uncovering the identity of River Song. It turns out she is the daughter of Amy and Rory and is half Time Lord because her parents had a threesome with the TARDIS. The Silence kidnaped her as a baby because they wanted a Time Lord for their own that would one day kill the Doctor. Yet for some reason, while she was growing up, they just left River on her freedom. It was revealed that the Silence€™s plan all along was when it was time for River to kill the Doctor as an adult. that they would kidnap her again to slap her on an astronaut suit that was programmed to control her every movement so that she would be forced to shoot the Doctor. Wait a minute, if the Silence€™s plan was to control River€™s every movement the moment it was time to kill the Doctor €“which requires no lifetime training in assassination at all in River€™s part€“ then why kidnap her as a child to make her a Time Lord weapon? All they needed to do was kidnap her only once as an adult. Why even need a Time Lord at all for the task? The Silence could very well have kidnaped any random hobo in the streets to forcefully kill the Doctor. Better yet, they were already a group of well-trained soldiers with the power to kill anyone without notice, why didn€™t they just kill the Doctor themselves? It seems like a lot of time, effort and resources were put in for no reason. The Doctor even said they were on earth for thousands of years until the day they needed a space suit. Wow, just... wow.
