Every Season Of Community Ranked Worst To Best

Well, this shouldn't be much of a surprise, as Community's fourth season is so reviled by the fans that even the show itself made fun of it, dubbing it the "gas leak year". What else could you expect when you lose Dan Harmon from the production team?

There are reasons as to why Harmon wasn't involved in the show's fourth season (such as his drinking, perfectionist tendencies and conflicts with the studio), but not having his creative vision for the series meant that the fourth instalment fell flat. This was particularly disappointing, as the previous season had been an epic time at Greendale, making this one even worse by comparison.

Season four almost felt like fan-fiction, as the majority of the episodes got the characters wrong, played with peculiar concepts and lacked a sense of development. The Britta/Troy romance felt forced, Malcolm McDowall's character was entirely wasted, and the Changnesia story took one of the best characters and reduced him to one gag.

It harbours some of the worst episodes, such as "Intro to Felt Surrogacy", "Advanced Documentary Filmmaking", and "Economics of Marine Biology". To make matters worse, that's only scratching the surface of the season's worst outings.
