44. It's A Trap
Season: 9
Episode: 18
Original Air Date: May 22nd, 2011 The final episode in the Family Guy "Laugh It Up, Fuzzball" Star Wars trilogy, this one is almost universally viewed as the weakest of the three episodes, but for fans of Star Wars, it's still an entertaining ride. Many hardcore FG fans look at this episode as a mistake on the part of Fox, who apparently asked FG creator Seth MacFarlane to come up with a third Star Wars-themed episode when he only wanted to make two, but if you're able to look beyond all of the "backstage" drama and just focus on the episode's content, you'll find yourself enjoying things, even if you're not a fan of the Star Wars universe. As is the case with FG Star Wars episodes, the Griffin family experiences a power outage, forcing Peter to tell them all the story of Return Of The Jedi. Peter is Han Solo, Stewie is Darth Vader, Brian is Chewbacca, Cleveland is R2-D2, Quagmire is C-3PO, and the list goes on and on. The entire story plays out and unfolds, mixing actual Star Wars storytelling with the usual Family Guy zaniness and raunchiness.
