3. How Will Peter & Lois Cope?
There's an old saying that goes 'a dog is a man's best friend' and that is particularly true when it comes to Brian and Peter's relationship in Family Guy. The pair are often shown hanging out with each other at the Drunken Clam and Brian even offers to give his owner one of his kidneys (S9. "New Kidney in Town") when Peter idiotically ingests kerosene. How will Peter cope now that his best friend is dead, and, similarly, what toll will it have on Lois? Just like Peter, Lois is shown to have a close relationship with Brian at times, even sharing tender moments when it is revealed they each share feelings for each other (S2. "Brian in Love") though nothing becomes of them. The Griffins have now adopted a new pet in place of Brian - Vinnie - a plotline that hasn't sat well with many fans, and it remains to be seen if they take to him the same way they did Brian or if they ultimately decide things simply can never be the same ever again.
