Game Of Thrones Season 5: 10 Most Intriguing Castings So Far

4. Alexander Siddig As Prince Doran Martell

Considered a genuine threat by Tywin Lannister, the father of Oberyn Martell will be swaggering lopsided into Game of Thrones in the coming season, lopsided because Doran famously suffers from gout and struggles to walk. But he doesn€™t let that deter him; he is pensive and cautious and plans meticulously. As the head of the new Dornish clan, he is the man whom gives the orders, and whom many go against. Alexander Siddig is known for his roles in Atlantis, Primeval and Star Trek, so he is no stranger to fantasy. Surprisingly, Siddig actually matches the description of Doran. Given the strong reception Oberyn received in season four, Siddig has a lot to live up to in order to match that hype, but if anyone is fit for a role in Game of Thrones Siddig is. Expect Siddig to stick around for a while; his grand scheme is unveiled towards the close of A Dance with Dragons, and it is sure to play a pivotal role in book six.
