This moment is equal parts emotional and tragic, which is what makes it such a perfect Always Sunny moment. "The Gang Broke Dee" is a fan-favourite episode, thanks to its focus on Dee, inventive set-up and shocking ending. However, while the ending deserves mention, it's the intro to this episode that will get you feeling blue.

The outing opens up on the tragic sight of Dee, looking like she wasn't washed for weeks, sitting at a table eating cake she found in the trash and smoking. The gang try to get a rise out of her by calling her variations of the classic bird joke, but she calls them all out before they can and doesn't put up any fight at all. She's totally defeated, and it's tragic.

While there are plenty of victims in the show, such as Rickety Cricket, Dee suffers the most, as the other characters constantly belittle and torture her.

This cold open shows her past her breaking point, and it's not a sight that viewers enjoyed seeing. Still, she was back to her screaming and raving by the end of the episode, so everything worked out in the end.
