Marvel's Luke Cage Season 2: 10 Big Questions We're Left With

1. How Will Being Harlem's King Change Luke?

Season 2 ends on a fascinating note that completely flips the premise of Luke Cage on its head. As just explained, Luke makes the surprising move to accept Mariah's offer to take over Harlem's Paradise. As The Godfather-inspired final scenes tease, the hero of Harlem is now its king.

Obviously, Luke hasn't gone bad overnight. As he explains to Misty, he believes that this is the best way he can keep crime down in Harlem - by dealing directly with the city's crime bosses. In effect, he believes he can change the system from the inside. Misty warns him, though, that it's more likely the system will change him.

According to showrunner Cheo Hodari Choker, this arc is inspired by the Shadowland storyline from the comics which saw Daredevil take over the Hand. That series examined how Matt Murdock's nature was changed by heading the organisation so you can bet that something similar will happen to Luke in season 3. But how much will he change? Will he be able to escape the pull of the dark side or will Mariah have the last laugh and turn Luke into what he hates most?
