6. Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina
A surprisingly fun yet undeniably dark, yet somewhat campy and visually appealing horror spectacle, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina follows its equally horror-tinged comic counterpart, itself an adaptation of the much more upbeat and cutesy Sabrina The Teenage Witch comics of Archie fame.
The story follows Sabrina, a cute, sweet teenage girl who has to choose between her life as a human and her dark heritage as a powerful immortal witch, and how she's forced to navigate her life as a half-breed and the impossible choices she's given by the harsh and unforgiving world of magic.
The show itself embraces both the campiness and darkness of its premise, with a clear love for classic horror films and tropes mixed in with bleaker and creepier elements. The biggest standout of the show has to be its production design, as well as its music, the series being beautifully designed, pulling any viewer into the world that the creators clearly loved putting together.
While it does tend towards some of the strange elements of its sister series Riverdale, with certain elements that don't really work, it's certainly worth a viewing, and is undeniably fun to watch, especially for the spooky season.
