Riverdale: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

9. Toni Topaz

Though Toni Topaz made her debut long after Riverdale's prime, she remains one of the few shining aspects of the second and third seasons. A rebel that has been both with and without a cause, she just enjoys the idea of being a rebel full stop - and she has no problem telling it like it is.

Initially a recurring character throughout the show's second season, it seemed like she was destined to become a contrived love interest of fellow Serpent Jughead Jones. Thankfully, the writers gifted us with a pleasant surprise when they subverted our expectations and kick-started the force to be reckoned with that is 'Choni' when they had the character cross paths with Cheryl.

An unexpected gem, the pair strut down the corridors like the sassy queens that they are while also having some genuinely sweet scenes when alone. Unfortunately, this wonderful couple has resulted in a little complacency which, in many ways, is Toni's biggest drawback as a character. Ever since her relationship with Cheryl was established as the solid foundation that it is, she (or the relationship) hasn't really had that much time to grow and develop further.

Two seasons in, Toni shouldn't feel this underdeveloped, and we can only hope that the show gives her some juicy material in the season ahead.
