8. Alice Cooper

Riverdale's most intrepid reporter, Alice Cooper is a character that has multiple personalities. Whether that's a tool designed specifically by the show to make her all the more illusive or it's just down to the convenience of whatever each particular episode requires, it has somewhat diluted the character's appeal.

Originally seeming to be little more than a Stepford Wife, Alice quickly pushed back against the norm and solidified herself as both an intelligent woman and a compassionate mother. While she's always been a little eccentric, her love for her children has always been present (even if some of her more out-there storylines conveniently mask that).

The most annoying thing about her is that the writers' constant decisions to change her in accordance to the needs of a particular storyline without laying the necessary groundwork have turned her into one of the most infuriating characters on the show. That being said, when Alice is at her best, she's among the best that Riverdale has to offer.
