5. Why Is The Elevator STILL Not Fixed?

You have doctors, astrophysicists who spit on rocket science, an engineer, and the building is (apparently) occupied by a host of unseen residents. How has the elevator not been fixed yet? We've seen the origin story for how it broke, and there have been some great gags during the stair walks but come on... It's been long enough. We're supposed to believe in their world and little details like this make it feel like a fake sitcom. Somebody would've clearly set about fixing the elevator, whether it be the group, the other residents, or the building operators. Will we ever see the elevator restored back to a working condition?
