This theory has been building ever since Sharon Carter's return to the MCU in episode three. She is clearly a big player on Madripoor, and was far more mysterious than she had ever been in the franchise before. Episode four furthered these theories, and now episode five may have all but confirmed them.

Her one scene in 'Truth' showed her on the phone to someone who spoke French, and had spent time in an Algerian prison. Even if he hadn't shown up later in the episode, this was obviously Batroc, but the surprising thing is that she has worked with him before, and was the one responsible for getting him out of prison.

Sharon, now confirmed to be villainous in at least some capacity, has sent Batroc the Leaper to Karli Morgenthau for a little back up, with the promise that he will get his chance to kill Sam Wilson. But what does Sharon actually get out of this?

Batroc will have his opportunity for revenge, Karli gets a killer on her side, but on the face of it, none of this particularly benefits Sharon. Unless, she is the Power Broker, and has sent Batroc to Karli under a pretense with his true job being to kill her as retribution for stealing the serum from her.
