10 Dream Wrestling Matches That Didn't Deliver

1. Goldberg Vs. Brock Lesnar (WrestleMania XX)

The match shared by Goldberg and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania XX is perhaps still the most disappointing in WWE history. It wasn't just forgettable - it actually made the viewing experience of those in Madison Square Garden worse.

Primarily, this is because of the tepid style both men - mostly renowned for their all-action approach in the ring - chose to employ on the night. Instead of Spears, Jackhammers and F-5s, we got a bunch of rest-holds (and that's when they weren't just staring at each other from across the ring).

Even Stone Cold being the special referee couldn't save this one from being an abject disaster. The crowd weren't in the mood to play ball after catching wind of the fact that both of the men involved would bee heading for the hills after the final bell. The guys in the ring phoned it in accordingly.

Happily, the duo did manage to make amends some 13 years later, sharing an explosive five-minute clash in one of the headline spots of WrestleMania 33, proof that two power merchants can put on a good spectacle in the right circumstances.
