10 Most Frustrating Decisions WWE Have Made This Year (So Far)
6. Dropping Big E From The New Day Storyline
WWE's woeful handling of New Day's heel turn is going to be the subject of many an article in the future. But while thousands of words could be written on the subject, let's keep this article entry brief by focusing on the major point of contention:
What the hell happened to Big E?
Big E was the crux for New Day's descent into heeldom, as Kofi and Xavier turning their back on the universally loved Large Epsilon was what transformed them into the most despised act in the WWE. Yet New Day's newfound heat dissipated with alarming rapidity as WWE quickly forgot about the pair's spurned former partner.
Without Big E, New Day's turn floundered, and the duo have been struggling to connect with the audience (check out their largely heatless 'Mania match for proof, or the non-event that was them losing the titles to Judgement Day). Yes, Big E can't take a bump, but there are any number of ways WWE could use him. Have him manage an opposing team. Have Kofi and Xavier invade his family home. Heck, simply have New Day slap the mic out his hand at a press conference. That didn't happen, and now New Day are just another member of WWE's lukewarm tag roster.
