10 Reasons Why 2016 Has Been A Great Year For WWE (So Far)

1. AJ Styles In WWE

You had to know 2016 was going to be nothing short of a remarkable year for WWE when news broke on the first Monday of the year that AJ Styles was potentially WWE bound. Needless to say, it was hard to believe at first, but as time passed, it slowly seemed to become a reality. Once he was booted from The Bullet Club, it started to sink in that he could actually be coming over at long last.

When what would soon be known as his awesome entrance music hit at the Royal Rumble, it was originally met with silence. But once the words "I Am Phenomenal" came across the screen, the Orlando audience came unglued. Few other stars that made their name outside of WWE can say they have arrived with such fanfare (Chris Jericho of course comes to mind). A monumental moment to say the least.

It's been a whirlwind of a year for Styles in WWE, but despite his last few losses to Chris Jericho and Roman Reigns on pay-per-view, he has been booked better than anyone ever expected him to be. He's been involved in a handful of Match of the Year candidates, aligned with his old Bullet Club stablemates, contended for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on three occasions, and is on the verge of contesting a dream match with John Cena at Money in the Bank later this month.

If there was any concern regarding how he would be handled in the company that long eluded him, The Phenomenal One has surely silenced those critics.
