10 Ups & 5 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling Turning Point 2021

9. Decay Fail To Be IInspired

The IInspiration retaining the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles over Decay was the right call, and they went about it in a half-decent match.

Though not quite as good as their initial Bound For Glory outing, the bout served its purpose. Rosemary charged at Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay as soon as the bell rang, soon joined by Havok, as the former champions fought more hard-hitting than usual. They wanted the championships back, and so they changed their usual style; the IInspiration were thrown off as a result.

Because of this, the former IIconics were forced to change their style, too. At one stage, they double Powerbombed Rosemary onto the venue floor, while they tactically wore Havok down to ultimately retain the straps. The shady ending, with Jessie having her ankles draped across the ropes, was justified.

Where, exactly, this leaves the IInspiration will be intriguing with Decay's short-term departure. There isn't another babyface tag team in the division to contend them, meaning a heels vs. heels showdown with Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans could be on the horizon.
