8. Becky Lynch Vs Shayna Baszler

Almost all of the Becky Lynch/Shaya Baszler angle happened in front of audiences, and it's quite remarkable to think about how the noise - g*ddamn that real evocative noise - still isn't enough to get the silliness over on end-of-year rewatch.

Hanging over from Lynch's rather petulant post-match attack on the 'Queen Of Spades' at the 2019 Survivor Series, Baszler burst forth onto the main roster in February with the most main roster bit of bullsh*t that ever main rostered.

Having failed to win the Royal Rumble and secure a WrestleMania match with 'The Man' that way, she instead arrived unannounced from NXT and savagely bit into Lynch's neck. That last bit sounds okay written down, actually. It obviously did then too - they went to all sorts of effort with the blood and effects to get the moment over, but it all ultimately had the opposite effect.

The onset of the global b*stard didn't help, but that didn't excuse Lynch's character morphing into something of an a*sehole at the same time. The most dangerous woman in wrestling had been reduced to a pantomime villain, her foil was becoming unlikable, and all the fire from their pre-Survivor Series sit-downs was as good as extinguished before the 'Show Of Shows' itself was robbed of all lustre.
