4 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (April 25)

2. Beating The Clock

The Ascension vs. Breezango lasted just three minutes, but it didn't need to go any longer. This was a Beat The Clock challenge, after all, and unlike American Alpha and The Colons before them, the two teams actually recognised this. They performed like every second was vital, with both units going all-out to win from the first bell, resulting in a satisfying conclusion, and a new set of number one contenders.

Breezango won, and will now challenge The Usos at some point down the line. This creates a credibility issue, as the duo have done precisely nothing since being drafted to SmackDown, but the writers can't run The Usos vs. American Alpha forever. Fans are utterly bored with that feud, and if this victory gives Breezango a chance to show what they can do in the spotlight, it's nothing but a good thing.

Tyler Breeze and Fandango are two of WWE's most underused wrestlers, and their Fashion Police act is tremendously entertaining. At the very least, they should be able to have a fun tag match with The Usos, and at best, their push will help birth another credible tag team on SD. Lord knows the blue brand needs it, so here's hoping Breezango are given a legitimate opportunity to succeed.
