6 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling Sacrifice 2021

1. Wrestling Is Art

Genuinely, Impact Wrestling may have just secured their second five star rated match in history from Dave Meltzer. Rich Swann vs. Moose was incredible.

The flow of the match was crucial to how things played out here. It started hot, with 'Mr. Impact Wrestling' attempting a Go To Hell chokebomb immediately. A few flips here and there from Swann followed as he sent Moose into the ring posts a few times, and then we entered the second act of the match. This consisted of Moose just overpowering the Impact World Champion, including back body drop that flipped Swann all the way over onto his chest.

As for the third act? It was balls to the wall batsh*t crazy.

Moose ran up the ropes, turned in mid-air, and was met with a handspring cutter. Moose perfectly pulled off a top-rope moonsault fallaway slam, a la Cameron Grimes. Moose is billed at six foot five inches tall and just shy of 300 pounds - how the f*ck is he doing this?

What's special is that Moose only does this sort of thing on special occasions. He near-enough murdered Willie Mack in their I Quit Match at Genesis with a Go To Hell through a table at ringside, with Mack's head bashing off the Skyway Studios' floor. A week later at Hard To Kill, he gave Kenny Omega a picture-perfect Spanish Fly. If he did this all the time, no-one would care. If he does it when you least expect it, though, then it becomes legendary.

Even though Rich Swann technically pinned Moose to become the Unified World Champion, you can't take anything away from Moose. He gave the performance of his career here. He may not be facing the AEW World Champion at Rebellion on 24 April, but he still deserves a marquee match at the pay-per-view.

We've got Swann vs. Omega to look forward to now, as we just alluded to. Professional wrestling really is art, isn't it?
