7 Ups And 0 Downs From WWE NXT Great American Bash (Jul 6)
2. Hit Row Deliver A Cypher Celebration
Music in wrestling isn't always a match made heaven. WrestleMania's frequent penchant for Flo Rida, Pitbull, and Kid Rock concerts sit as examples of why it's sometimes best to leave the tunes at home.
However, in the case of NXT, more often than not the brand delivers an accompaniment that actually enhances the viewing experience. What a world. Hit Row's North American Championship Cypher Celebration fell into this prestigious category last night as the unit took it in turns to spit bars, putting over themselves and their title ambitions to the sound of Ashante 'Thee' Adonis' beats.
In the hands of less capable talents, this could've gone down like a lead balloon. And, yes, it perhaps went on a tad too long. But Swerve, B-FAB, Top Dolla, and Adonis all found a moment to shine and exude charisma whilst breaking up a Great American Bash show that was in need of a change of pace.
