Legendary wrestlers can be particularly sensitive, but this interaction between Ricky Starks and Adam Copeland on the 14th October, 2023 episode of AEW Collision felt incredibly hostile. Picking on a wrestler's appearance is one of the easiest things for a performer to do, and given Copeland's incredible heel runs as Edge in WWE, you would think that he would know how every trick in the book, but Ricky Starks drew one hell of a hot reaction from the 'Rated R Superstar'.

As one half of the AEW Tag Team Champions with Big Bill, Ricky Starks entered the ring to confront Bryan Danielson and Copeland. While talking to Danielson, he advised Copeland to "stop looking at him with his bug eyes", and it seemed to send Adam into a meltdown.

Calling Starks "a vanilla midget version of The Rock", Copeland would continue to interrupt Starks, who retorted with a very smart "oh no, that really sent me over the Edge". It helped to keep the whole segment on track and enabled him to return his attention to Danielson, which was a good thing because Copeland looked like he was about to lose his cool entirely.
