The New Day (Big E & Kofi Kingston) Vs. John Morrison & The Miz Vs. The Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik & Lince Dorado) Vs. The Forgotten Sons (Steve Cutler & Wesley Blake)

Wesley Blake’s lack of booking as a member of The Forgotten Sons is painfully ironic. On the plus side, Blake ended his in-ring WWE run in a pay-per-view title encounter. The Forgotten Sons were a bland alliance, raw in all the wrong way.

The Forgotten Sons and Lucha House Party were given the start of the match to work, while the two more over teams waited in the side-lines. Blake and Steve Cutler had the time to show some impressive offence, however, booking the cruiserweights on the receiving end greatly dulled the dominance.

Jaxon Ryker, The Forgotten Sons’ third man, provided the assist for the team, allowing them to briefly get over on The New Day, until the referee banned him from ringside. Even commentary highlighted the stupidity of this, considering the bout’s inherent no disqualification stipulation. After a dive to the outside took almost everybody out, Big E picked up an easy pin on Gran Metalik.

Blake spent almost eight years with WWE - though greatly under0appreciated, a skilled tag team performer has considerable value.
