WWE Botched Cory Rhodes' Entrance On Raw Last Night (WWE News)

No pyro, no problem for Cody Rhodes on WWE Raw this week.

No pyro, no problem. Those were the words of WWE commentator Wade Barrett on last night's Raw, as Cody Rhodes' entrance appeared to have somewhat of a malfunction.

A SmackDown superstar, the American Nightmare was paying a visit to the red brand as part of the build for his upcoming Crown Jewel match against Seth Rollins. Unfortunately for Cody, though, he had a mild issue as he made his way out to the ring for a promo exchange with the Visionary.

With Downstait's Kingdom blaring out, Rhodes appeared in the entrance way, hit his standard "whoah" pose, and waited for his usual pyro to kick in. However, that pyro didn't happen, as Cody had a few awkward seconds of waiting around before he instead opted to interact with fans around the entrance way and then just headed to the ring, sans pyro.

Cody Rhodes' Raw role was to push his Crown Jewel match, where the WWE Champion and WWE World Heavyweight Champion will clash, and on that front, this week's Raw did a fantastic job of hyping Rhodes vs. Rollins, both with an in-ring promo exchange between the two, and, even more impressively, with a brilliant video package highlighting some of the history between the pair since Cody returned to the company at WrestleMania 38.
