WWE Clash In Paris 2025: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True
8. Nikki Bella Is The One To Beat Becky
That was a cool promo exchange between both women on Raw, but Nikki Bella can’t be the one to take the Women’s Intercontinental Title away from Becky Lynch. Sorry in advance to anyone repping the 'Bella Nation', but she’s a stopgap challenger in 2025, and this card doesn’t need a title change just for the sake of it.
Keep that belt on Becks and she’ll do God’s work with it.
Bayley's metamorphosis back into her old hugger character (possibly one with a slight edge this time who isn't so easy to manipulate) smacks of a title change on the heels of it. She'll surely be the one to dethrone 'The Man' and seize that belt as her own, not Nikki. Being fair, Bella is a big enough name to make this match in Paris well worth paying attention to; as far as temp challengers go, she's a darn good one.
Nikki pinning Lynch and taking the title just so Triple H can point to a title switch and say, 'See?! See?! This show is historic!' would be unnecessary though. There's actually an argument to be made that this bout should've taken place on Raw, but WWE needed something else once Naomi announced her pregnancy and they were forced to scrap the planned bout with Stephanie Vaquer.
Fair enough.
Keeping it simple would be the best bet on Sunday. Bella can come close with a few delicious near falls, but Becky has to be the one to leave with her title. Then, WWE can start motoring towards Bayley's challenge as Lyra Valkyria asks what the hell her old buddy is playing at. She's been left high and dry by almost everybody, including her ex-mentor Lynch.
Lyra can't challenge again whilst Becky is champ, but she can still play a role in the story.
